Baleal is a small peninsula (former island) located north of Peniche, in the region West of Portugal, separated from the mainland by a tombolo, forming a beach of fine white sand. The continuity of the cove there are also the islet of the Doves and the Outside islander.

Baleal inherited the name of the function that these rocks have played in the past whaling site.

Inserted in the municipality of Peniche, Baleal became place of summer with a potential for water sports.
